Photos & Description of Rock Home

Sorry, but Rock Home is no longer available for holiday bookings.

Rock Home is a quaint seventeenth century cottage tucked away in a quiet road in Georgeham. The cottage was substantially internally renovated in 2005 but retains several period touches.

"Faultless! We certainly plan to come back. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable."  Valerie Bowden

Come Inside

You enter the property through a low stable door into the kitchen and eating area, which is newly renovated, well maintained, and fully equipped for a trouble-free holiday with all the usual kitchen equipment, including a fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave. Move through an archway into the lounge where there is a comfortable sofa, a wood-burning stove and a digital television (Freeview), Video/DVD and a CD/MP3 player, so bring your favourite tapes and discs. The staircase leads out of the lounge to the two bedrooms and bathroom.

"A lovely cottage with wonderful ambiance. Very well equipped and furnished. We loved the fire, only wish we had longer than our few days here." Les & Heather Lawrence

Upstairs

The main bedroom has a comfortable double bed, bed-side tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers, whilst the smaller bed-room, with quaint beams indicating the height of the original thatched roof, has a single bed - with the ability to pull out a guest bed from underneath to sleep two, and a chest of drawers.

A cot and high chair are usually available by prior arrangement so the car can have more space for buckets and spades!

Patio & smaller room

The bathroom has a modern white suite of hand basin, toilet, bath with shower fitment and a shaver socket.

The cottage has oil-fired central heating, electric hob and oven, and is on mains water and drainage. All such costs are included in the price.

"A wonderful week in the best cottage we have ever stayed in. We very much hope to return." Shaun & Carol Powell

Courtyard Garden

The cosy courtyard garden, at the front of the house, forms a sun-trap and is a delightful place to sit in the evening to eat a meal and there is parking for one large or two small cars opposite the cottage, together with a lockable shed for bicycles, surfboards and other outdoor items.

Guests over 6ft need to know that the downstairs rooms have a ceiling height of 6ft 2ins!

There is no smoking or pets allowed in the cottage.
